The Hungry Bin is a continuous flow worm farm that offers a simple, clean, and highly efficient way to compost. Continuous flow systems, when operated correctly, are far more effective than traditional stacked tray worm farms. The Hungry Bin’s unique tapered design creates a large surface area, allowing worms to easily access food scraps at the top — where they naturally feed — increasing their processing capacity and overall efficiency.
The tapered sides encourage worms to stay near the surface while compressing finished castings below. Once composting is complete, the base of the bin can be easily removed to harvest around 4L (¾ gallon) of rich, worm-free castings. This process is quick, clean, and requires no heavy lifting or messy handling. The system also produces a nutrient-rich liquid fertiliser, ready to use in your garden.
Designed for comfort and convenience, the Hungry Bin features a lid at a comfortable operating height that is easy to open and close. The tight-fitting lid keeps pests out while allowing healthy airflow through the bin, and sturdy wheels make it effortless to move even when full.
